Russell County Lakers Baseball pitcher and first baseman Nathan Lawson has been named First-Team All-State.
Lawson is one of 22 players selected state-wide for the first-team honors.
The junior finished the season with 7 wins and 1 loss in 10 starts on the mound, finishing with a 1.95 era and striking out 91 batters on the season (tied for 18th in the state).
At the plate, Lawson finished the season batting .442 and finished with 50 hits on the season (tied for 20th in the state) and 53 RBI (tied for 9th in the state), including 9 home runs (tied for 12th in the state).
