On Tuesday, March 9, acting on information received on a drug complaint to the Adair County Sheriff’s Office, Chief Deputy Justin Cross, along with Columbia Police Department Officers Evan Burton and Drew Conn, responded to a residence located on Yates Street in Columbia.
As a result of investigation, a search of the residence was conducted, and a Russell County man was arrested by Deputy Cross.
Cody Johnson, 22, of Russell Springs, Kentucky, was charged with:
Possession of a controlled substance 1st degree methamphetamine
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Johnson was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail, and the investigation is ongoing.
