KSP investigating Cumberland County collision

Troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 15 were requested to respond to a two vehicle injury in Cumberland County on Monday. The collision occurred on KY Highway 704 at approximately 09:30 AM.

Preliminary investigation indicates that Jonathan Neathery, age 30 of Columbia, was operating a 2002 Toyota Tundra west bound on KY 704. Neathery’s vehicle crossed the center dividing line and entered into the path of a 2013 Chevrolet Impala being operated by Lottie Baker, age 42 of Burkesville, causing the two vehicles to strike in a head-on manner.

Jonathan Neathery was transported by EMS to Cumberland County Hospital where he was treated and released.

Lottie Baker was airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville where she is listed in critical condition. The operators of both vehicles were unrestrained at the time of the collision.

This collision remains under investigation by Tpr. Allen Shirley. Tpr Shirley was assisted at the scene by additional KSP personnel, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Cumberland County Fire and EMS, and Cumberland County EMA.
