Russell County Lakers senior forward Scott Hamm will continue his basketball career at Berea College.
Hamm made the announcement last night on social media.
“Want to first say thank God for this opportunity for me to play basketball,” Hamm wrote. “With this said, I’m gonna further my academic and basketball career at Berea.”
As a senior this past season, Hamm was the second-leading scorer for the Lakers, averaging 13.7 points per game while shooting 60 percent from the floor and was second on the team in rebounds with 8.4 rebounds per game.
Hamm, who reached the 1,000 point milestone this season, has been a key contributor for the Lakers for multiple years. He led the team in scoring and rebounding during his junior and sophomore seasons.
The Berea College Mountaineers are an NCAA Division III program.
