Burkesville woman passes away from injuries in Monday collision

A Burkesville woman who was critically injured in an automobile collision in Cumberland County Monday morning passed away on Tuesday from her injuries, according to Kentucky State Police.

On Monday, troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 15 responded to a two vehicle injury in Cumberland County. The collision occurred on KY Highway 704 at approximately 09:30 AM.

Preliminary investigation indicates that Jonathan Neathery, age 30 of Columbia, was operating a 2002 Toyota Tundra west bound on KY 704. Neathery’s vehicle crossed the center dividing line and entered into the path of a 2013 Chevrolet Impala being operated by Lottie Baker, age 42 of Burkesville, causing the two vehicles to strike in a head-on manner. Jonathan Neathery was transported by EMS to Cumberland County Hospital where he was treated and released. Lottie Baker was airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. The operators of both vehicles were unrestrained at the time of the collision.
