Beshear signs bill to provide same leave policies to adoptive parents

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear signed House Bill 210 into law this week, which requires employers to provide the same leave policies to adoptive parents as they do to birth parents.

The bill passed through the Kentucky House by a vote of 97-0, and the Kentucky Senate by a vote of 33-2.

The law states that every employer shall grant reasonable personal leave not to exceed six weeks.
