I’ve compiled photos I took of the Russell County Lakers Basketball team in action this season. It was a strange year with COVID-19 and before the season started, there were serious concerns about whether these student-athletes would be able to have a season at all.
I had the pleasure of covering this team over the course of the season, and enjoyed capturing moments through the lens of the camera.
I hope you all enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed snapping them.
A big thanks goes out to Coach Billy Carson, Athletic Director Michael Carpenter, and everyone involved with doing all the things needed to give these student-athletes a basketball season.
A big congratulations to these players for their hard work this season as well. Although the season ended earlier than anyone hoped, these players gave their all and had some great moments.
Finally, a big thank you to all of the parents, family, and friends that went out of their way to offer a compliment or say thank you for my work this year. It means a ton to me personally. I hope you enjoy the photos!
