Lakers defeat Metcalfe County 57-40

The Russell County Lakers picked up a big district win Tuesday night, defeating the Metcalfe County Hornets 57-40.

The Lakers are now 2-1 in district play.

The Lakers were led in scoring by Scott Hamm with 21 points. Hamm also added 11 rebounds.

Senior Devonte Grayson finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds, on a perfect 6-6 from the floor.

Junior Jay Milburn finished with a triple double, scoring 12 points and adding 14 rebounds and 10 blocked shots. Milburn also finished with 7 assists.

Trace Stringer finished with 7 points.
