Lady Lakers Lose on Road to Somerset

The Russell County Lady Lakers went on the road Tuesday night for a last minute scheduled game with the Lady Jumpers of Somerset, but went down in defeat 46 to 43. Senior guard Juliah Bault led the Lady Lakers with 18 points, followed by Hannah Yates with 12 and Star Marcum with 8.

The Lady Lakers were to take on district opponent Metcalfe County Tuesday night as part of a girl-boy doubleheader at Laker gym but that game was cancelled due to COVID/KHSAA protocols involving Metcalfe County. Coach Brett Blankenship was able late Monday to schedule the game with Somerset. The Lady Jumpers will visit Laker gym on Thursday night for a rematch.
