Health Dept. taking calls for vaccine signups today

A message from the Lake Cumberland District Health Department about registration for COVID-19 vaccines today.

Lake Cumberland District Health Department will be receiving 4,000 1st/prime dose of COVID-19 vaccine for our district over the next 3 weeks. Priority for vaccine appointments will be given to Phase 1a and 1b including those 70 and older. We will begin phone appointments on Monday, February 8th at 9:00 am EST/8:00 am CST. Please do not call early or leave information on our answering machine. We are not keeping waiting lists. On Monday morning we will have 30 phone lines open and 15 to 20 operators. Demand will be greater than the supply, and we apologize in advance for not being able to accommodate everyone.
Only people with an appointment will receive the vaccinations. Once the vaccine appointments are full, the phone system message will notify the callers that no appointments are available.
