Early Sunday Morning Fire in Jamestown

An early morning fire Sunday totally destroyed a Jamestown workshop and garage, and resulted in minor damage to a nearby residence. Jamestown Fire Chief Jeff Landers told WJRS NEWS his department was called out about 1:30 Sunday morning to a residence at 1215 West Highway 92, known as the Esto Road, just off the 127 bypass in Jamestown. Landers said a shop building and garage was fully engulfed in flames when his department arrived. The building and all contents, including a vehicle, were a total loss. The Jamestown department was on the scene about an hour and assisted by the Russell County Sheriff’s office and state department of transportation due to ice on the roadway.
