Sandra Akin, age 74, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at Liberty Care Center.
She was born on Monday, January 21 1946, in Gibson City, IL.
She was the daughter of:
Mother – Maude Canoy Bridgewater, who has preceded her in death
Father – Willie Ray, who has preceded her in death
Survivors also include:
1 Daughter:
– Amy Kerr, of Russell Springs KY
1 Step-Daughter:
· Kimberly Mitchum, of Columbia, KY
2 Sons:
– Joe Smith, of Russell Springs KY.
– Chuck Smith, of Jeffersonville IN.
1 Step-son:
· Tim Akin, of Columbia, KY
She is survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 step-great grandson.
She was a member of Calvary Temple Church and a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Besides her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Hugh Akin, by 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday, January 18 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.
Visitation will be 12-2 PM Monday, January 18 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.
Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, Columbia, KY. Officiating: Bro. Scott Allen Bro. Troy McWhorter
