The highly unusual, COVID affected high school basketball season gets underway tonight for the Russell County Lady Lakers and Laker boys.
Both teams will host Taylor County at Laker gym. The girls game will tip off at 5:30 and the boys game will immediately follow. Due to COVID-19 and protocols issued by the KHSAA, those able to attend the game will be limited. Athletic Director Michael Carpenter says each player will receiver passes for four persons. Those persons and essential staff will be the only persons allowed in the gym for basketball games at this time.
