Vindia K. Goodin, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020, at her home. She was 63 years of age.
Born on February 23, 1957, in Clinton County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late William Stanley Cross and the late Ida Mae Cole Cross. Vindia was a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include one son, Dakota (and Keirstan) Goodin of Jacksonville, North Carolina; one daughter, Dana (and Shane) Phillips of Jacksonville, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Chelsea York, Kirsten Criswell, Evan Phillips, Lillie Goodin, and David Goodin; and five great-grandchildren. Vindia is also survived by two sisters, Billie Daniel and Hope Cross.
In addition to her parents, Vindia was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Goodin, who passed away on September 4, 1993; one brother, Stanley Cross; and one sister, Diania Garrett.
Funeral services are 12:00 P.M. Friday, January 1, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home with Brother Barry Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow at Tarter Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Friday, January 1, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home.
Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance. Facial coverings are required.
