Russell County had nearly 41 percent increase in COVID-19 cases in November

Cases of COVID-19 in Russell County went up significantly in the month of November.

An analysis by WKYT in Lexington shows the percentage increases in each county across the state in number of COVID-19 cases from Nov. 1 to Nov. 30.

In the month of November, Russell County saw an increase of nearly 41 percent.

While significant, that increase is far from the largest increase of any county in the state. That distinction belongs to Lee County, which saw a 400 percent increase last month, followed by Powell County which saw a 200 percent increase.
