Rain should taper off late this afternoon and evening, but more rain and some possible thunderstorms will arrive on the first day of 2021 (Friday). Let’s get another check of the hour-by-hour for tomorrow…

A few storms could be on the strong side Friday. Here’s the latest from the Storm Prediction Center…

SPC has that dark green area which is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe weather that does include Russell County and other counties to the west. Not expecting any widespread severe weather, but there could be a storm or two that reaches the severe limits.
