Showers and Storm Chances Increase Today

As all of us prepare to stuff ourselves with as much food as human possibly tomorrow, we are keeping an eye on the weather today as a system is going to come into the Commonwealth and bring with it showers and storms and there could possibly be a few strong to severe storms. SPC has put most of the state in that dark green level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe weather. Not expecting an outbreak or anything, but a few storms could reach that severe status. It’s important to note that it is not uncommon for us to see severe weather this time of year. We have our traditional severe weather season in March, April, and May, but we also get some severe weather in the fall months as well so this is not something that is rare by any means. Looks like most of the action will be in a line of showers and storms. We will keep a close watch on everything and update you on any changes.
