The Russell Springs Christmas Parade will not take place this year, due to an increase in cases of COVID-19.
The Russell Springs Revitalization Committee announced the decision Sunday evening on its Facebook page.
“With a heavy heart we are sad to announce that The Russell Springs Christmas Parade will be cancelled this year,” the post said. “It was a very hard decision to make but due to the rising number of Covid cases we didn’t feel we could have it in good conscience. Hope to see everyone in 2021.”
