A Russell County woman was arrested in Adair County Monday on charges of burglary and theft of a firearm.
Doris Anna-Carol Roy, 32, was arrested by the Adair County Sheriff’s Department following a break-in at a home in the Cane Valley community.
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home invasion call in the Cane Valley community a little after 5 a.m. Monday. The resident of the home called dispatch after they had woken up and found a woman in their home. The woman, allegedly Roy, fled the home before law enforcement arrived.
According to the Adair County Sheriff’s Office, Roy admitted to deputies later on that she had unlawfully entered the residence.
Roy was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail just before 3 p.m. Monday.
