In Laker Sports news:
***The District soccer championships were suspended last night due to lighting issues at the Clinton County soccer field. Play will resume tonight at Monroe County. The girls championship game between Russell county and Monroe county will start at 6 o’clock, and the boys championship with Russell county and Monroe county will follow.
***The Lady Laker volleyball team was on the road at Somerset. The Laker girls losing three straight sets to Somerset. The local girls will finish out their regular season Thursday night at Marion County before the district tournament starts next week at Clinton County.
