The Kentucky Broadcasters Association held their annual Excellence in Broadcasting Awards show yesterday, albeit virtually. Each year, state broadcasters recognize top achievers in various categories of radio and television broadcasting, and technology.
Jeff Hoover, owner of Lake Cumberland Broadcasters LLC, the parent company of Laker Country 104.9 WJRS and WJKY 106.5 JACK fm, was chosen as one of the award presenters. Hoover presented awards for the “Best Morning Show”, which went to “Brian and Trisha” with WQXE in Elizabethtown, and the “Best Talk Show” which went to “The Sports Webb with Brian Webb at ESPN 102.7 in Bowling Green. Sam Dick, news anchor for WKYT Channel 27 in Lexington, was awarded the prestigious “Kentucky Mic Award”.
