Some Russell County students who are part of transitional grades, i.e. entering a new school, will return to the classroom today in anticipation of the district’s return to in-person education after fall break.
Today, kindergarten students who will be returning to the classroom as well as sixth and ninth grade students who have a last name beginning in A-L will be back in school for an orientation.
Sixth and ninth grade students with a last name beginning in M-Z will be in school for the orientation tomorrow.
There are many households where there are multiple students in the household who have different last names. In those cases, all students in the household would follow the schedule based off the first letter of the oldest student’s last name.
