36 new cases of COVID-19 were reported Wednesday in the Lake Cumberland area with one death reported.
The death was an 85 year old female from Casey county, bringing the Lake Cumberland total to 46 deaths. Health department officials say there are currently 13 persons hospitalized and 245 active cases in the area.
Green County lead the region with 13 new cases reported yesterday. Casey and Clinton county reported two new cases each, while Russell and Adair counties had one new case each.
Statewide, there were 1,163 newly reported cases on Wednesday. Thirty-nine of the newly reported cases were from children ages 5 and younger.
