State Board of Elections expected to vote on November election procedures

Plan provides multiple options for voters

The Kentucky Board of Elections is expected to take up a vote this afternoon regarding the emergency election procedures agreed upon by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and Secretary of State Michael Adams.
The plan would allow any voter who indicates a concern about COVID-19 to receive a mail-in ballot as well as allowing an extra week of early voting and more polling places on Election Day.
An online portal allowing voters to request an absentee ballot by mail is expected to open on Friday. More information about polling locations in Russell County will be released when made available.
