Columbia Man Arrested on Child Abuse Charges

A Columbia man is in the Russell County Detention Center after being arrested on child abuse charges.

According to reports, 35-year-old Thomas Doughty was arrested by Officer Trevor Foster and charged with Assault 4^th Degree, Domestic Violence, Assault 4^th Degree, Child Abuse, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, Criminal Mischief, and Criminal Abuse Third Degree, Child 12 or under.

Doughty was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center just before 1:00 am Wednesday.
