One of the area’s top annual festivals has been cancelled for this year. The Foothills Festival, held the third weekend each October in downtown Albany, will not be held this year due to the concerns and risk’s surrounding the current Covid-19 pandemic
The Foothills Festival Committee made the decision yesterday to cancel the 2020 Foothills Festival which was scheduled for October 16th and 17th.
Although all events have been cancelled, the committee said it was exploring the option of hosting a few events later in the year. The Foothills Festival joins a long list of community events and county fairs which have been cancelled due to the coronavirus and health concerns.
