New Administrative Code for Appointed Members on County Board or Commissions

Persons appointed and serving on county boards or commissions could be removed if they fail to attend meetings.

The county fiscal court last night adopted a revision to the county’s administrative code which allows those members with two or more unexcused absences to be removed by the County Judge and court.  Judge Gary Robertson explains…

Robertson said there have been a few instances where board members did not show up, resulting in lack of a quorum and preventing a board from conducting business.   Robertson says the amended policy will allow the fiscal court to take action in those rare times it is necessary.
