Although the school year just ended across the state last week, parents, teachers, and school officials are now wondering when school will resume. Some school groups are calling for a mid-July start date in case schools need to close in the fall should an anticipated second wave of COVID-19 hit Kentucky.
School superintendents from across the state are scheduled to have a conference call with Governor Andy Beshear tomorrow at 12:30 to discuss that very issue and when school does re-open, will things be different and if so, how will they be different.
Statewide education leaders have indicated the need to set a start date soon so schools can begin making preparations.
