WJRS News spoke to Ruth Hill on Thursday at the Russell County Clerk’s Office about the upcoming Primary and General Election. While there are no city or county races in this year’s Primary, two candidates have already filed for re-election in November’s General Election.
School board members Joy Wilson, Gerald Murray have filed the necessary paperwork for re-election. The city council races and 1st, 3rd, and 5th district school board seats are all on this year’s election. The deadline to file for the November General Election is June 2nd.
