Record Number of Registered Voters in Kentucky

A record total of just over three point four six million Kentuckians are now registered to vote as of January 31.

According to Secretary of State Michael Adams, Democratic registrants represent a little over 48 percent of the electorate with one million, six hundred seventy-eight thousand, five hundred thirty-eight registered voters.

Republican registrants total one million, four hundred seventy-seven thousand, nine hundred eighty-five, or almost 43 percent of voters.  Secretary Adams says almost 9 percent of voters are listed under other affiliations.

Persons eligible to vote in the May primary and who have not yet registered to vote, may do so by April 20th
