There were over 1,800 new flu cases statewide over the past week which was down from the 2,100 new cases the week prior.
The current influenza level statewide still remains at widespread.
There have been just over 19,000 total flu cases this season with 66 deaths across the state, four of which were under the age of 18.
Locally, Russell County has had a total of 7 laboratory confirmed cases this season, Adair 84, Clinton, 3, Casey, 16, Cumberland 10.
