Filing Deadline for Primary Election Candidates

A reminder to candidates involved in the May 19, 2020 primary election, that the filing deadline is 4 p.m. on January 10th.

Effective back on November 6th, Senate Bill 60, passed earlier this year by the General Assembly and signed into law by former Gov. Matt Bevin, set the filing deadline Friday after the first Monday in January. Candidates in the May primary races now have less than one month to file paperwork to get on the primary ballot.

Currently, Josh Branscum, a Russell Springs businessman, and Mark Polston, a Pulaski County businessman and pastor, have filed for state representative in the 83rd House District.
