Conservation District Awards

The Russell County Conservation District has awarded Bobby Grider the 2019 Master Conservationist for Russell County, Bethany Garmon as the Russell County Woman in Agriculture award winner and Grayson Blankenship as the Conservation College Scholarship recipient. Grider not only is recognized as one of the top purebred sheep breeders in the county and state, but also in the U.S. Garmon is an agriculture educator, FFA sponsor at Russell County High School and a farmer, and Blankenship is currently a sophomore at Eastern Kentucky University majoring in Animal Science.
