This is believed by city officials to be the first joint meeting between the two city governments. Also, following the recent resignation of a city zoning board member, Mayor Thomas announced that Ronnie Veach, a lifelong citizen of the city, had been appointed to fill the unexpired term and serve on the zoning board.
