Sheriff’s Department Activity Report

Chief Deputy Jerry Melton with the Russell County Sheriff’s Office presented the monthly activity report before the fiscal court on Monday night. The sheriff’s office responded to 628 calls for 911 service during the month of August. There were also 52 physical arrests, 20 mental health transports, 175 court papers received, 156 court security transports, three drug search warrants executed with arrests, 20 emergency protective orders served, 51 juvenile summons served and 111 criminal summons executed.
