Meeting in special session on Monday, the Russell Springs City Council passed their yearly ad valorem tax ordinance with no change from last year.
For motor vehicles and watercraft, the rate is .1700 cents on each $100 of assessed valuation. For real property, the rate is .1660 cents on each $100, for other personal property, the rate is .1680 cents per $100. All taxes received by November 30th will receive a two percent discount. A penalty of 12 percent will be assessed on all taxes deemed delinquent on or after December 31st.
