New Victim Advocacy Program

The Kentucky State Police are unveiling a new Victim Advocacy Program today at the KSP post in Elizabethtown intended to provide support for crime victims.

A total of 16 advocates are being hired and trained to assist crime victims as well as those involved with critical incidents by providing support during and after a crisis. Funding is set to come from the Victims of Crime Act and partnerships with various statewide agencies.

Details of the statewide initiative are set to be released today, according to the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet.
