The Russell County High School Mighty Laker Marching Band competed in the Taylor County Invitational on Saturday in Campbellsville. In prelims, the band placed first in Class 3A and was also awarded best colorguard and best percussion. Later that day in finals, they were announced as grand champion and were also awarded best colorguard and best percussion once again. The Laker band’s performance this marching season is titled, “The Better Machine.” They will be back compete once again on September 28th at Barren County.
