Strong to Severe Storms Possible Today

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory that includes Russell, Adair, Clinton, Cumberland, and counties off to the west until 6:00 pm this evening. The entire Lake Cumberland Area has now been cleared from that level 2 yellow “Slight Risk” and now everyone is in the level 1 green “Marginal Risk”. The severe threat has definitely decreased due to morning cloud cover, but there still could be a few storms that try to become severe later on in the evening. Not everyone will see severe weather, this is not going to be a widespread event. Storms that do become severe though could have gusty winds and some large hail. Here’s the latest hour-by-hour…
