The RCMS football team picked up a huge win on the road Tuesday night with a 49-0 shutout of Clinton County. In RCMS girls’ basketball action, the 6th grade defeated home standing Metcalfe County 33-10 while the 7th grade fell 33-28 and the 8th grade dropped their matchup 38-11.

In high school cross country action, Russell County competed in the Lynn Camp All Comers 5K on Tuesday with Justin Stearns setting a Lynn Camp course record with a time of 18:26 to finish in first place. Tyler Lulek finished in second place with a time of 19:23. Good times were also turned in by freshmen Clayton Trosper with 22:11 and Mason Buras with 22:45.

The Lady Laker volleyball team hosted Southwestern Tuesday night at Laker Gym. The freshmen fell 21-6, 21-19, the JV lost 21-5, 21-9 and the varsity lost 25-11, 25-10.

With it being Wednesday the schedule is clear tonight. The RCHS bass fishing team will have their final sign-ups on Thursday, August 29 from 4 pm to 6 pm in the RCHS lobby. For more information, call 270-585-9689.
