The lake was voted best house boating lake, best long weekend getaway, best fishing spot, best boating lake and received second place for best hunting and fishing area by readers of Kentucky Living magazine. Tourism Director Janette Marson received the recognition’s for the area during the Best in Kentucky Awards in Louisville.
