Ahead of the Labor Day holiday weekend, the average price of gasoline across West Central Kentucky, of which Russell County is a part of, is six cents cheaper this week at $2.267 per gallon, according to the latest AAA Gas Price Report.
Russell County gas prices has hovered between $2.19 and $2.22 as of late.
Statewide, gasoline is six cents cheaper on average across Kentucky at $2.35.
At $2.59 the national gas price average is posed to be potentially the cheapest Labor Day weekend average in three years.
