Marijuana Plants Discovered During Search

Russell County Sheriff Derek Polston and Deputy Nathan Ginn conducted an early morning search of property off Hwy. 1611 on Branchview Road in the Ono community of Russell County that resulted in 20 marijuana plants being seized. Arrests are forthcoming, according to Polston.

Sheriff Polston reminds all farmers and landowners in Russell County to be on the lookout for marijuana being grown on their property with this being prime time for plants to be seen in areas where they need sunlight to continue to grow.
