Laker baseball standout Corey Thomas has signed a letter of intent to play collegiately at Kentucky Christian University in Grayson. This season Corey was a key contributor in guiding the Lakers to a 26-9 record, a 16th District Championship, and a 4th Region semi-final appearance. Thomas finished his senior campaign with a
.333 batting average, tallying 35 hits, 18 RBI’s and 10 SB’s.
The Laker Coaching staff had the following to say about Corey, “we are happy Corey has found a place to continue to further his education and play baseball. Corey was a key contributor to this year’s team and was one of the team’s hardest workers, willing to put in the extra time to improve his game. Corey’s work ethic will serve him well at Kentucky Christian.”
Corey is the son of Kyle Thomas and Jana Toole.
