The Eli Fire Department was dispatched to a residence on McClendon Ridge Rd. for a reported structure fire around 3 pm Friday afternoon, according to the fire department.
The first arriving engine encountered heavy fire and heat throughout the home and Eli fire crews along with assistance from the Russell Springs Fire Department made an interior attack on the fire. Russell Springs responded for mutual aid assistance with man power, a tanker and an additional engines, according to the Eli Fire Department.
Crews from both departments continued to attack the fire for approximately three hours. The Jamestown Fire Department also responded to this scene to aid as well. The homeowner lost all possessions during the blaze, according to authorities.
