Small Child Injured During Two-Vehicle Collision

1046 photo 021714A small child was injured during a two-vehicle collision Monday afternoon in Russell Springs.

RSPD Sgt. Melissa Taylor told WJRS NEWS the wreck occurred at 4:30 at the intersection of KY 80 and Jamestown Street when Kristy Roy, age 25, of Russell Springs, attempted to pull onto KY 80 from Jamestown Street in her Ford Taurus….pulling into the path of an eastbound Buick car being driven by 45 year old Rodney Wright, also of Russell Springs.

Neither driver was injured, however, Roy’s 5 year old son Aden sustained lacerations and was transported by the Russell County EMS to the Russell County Hospital for treatment and observation.
