The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) announced yesterday that beginning Monday, Aug. 3, crews will begin rock slide repairs on U.S. 127, just south of the Wolf Creek Dam.
Crews will be starting work on KY 1730 clearing trees and brush beginning at mile point 0.3 and ending at mile point 1.4, near the Wolf Creek Dam overlook.
Transportation officials say that at this time, the road work will have minimal impact on motorists.
Highway 127 at the dam has been the scene of several rocks slides in the past year and a half which has reduced traffic across and near the dam to one lane.
