The Laker middle school boys headed to Columbia last evening (11/21) for a triple header and was victorious in all three games over the Adair Co Indians.
The 6th grade Lakers won by a score of 30-24 with the help of Collin Burton, who scored 14 points and had 6 rebounds. The Lakers trailed by 2 at the half to come back hard in the second half. Owen Loy had 10 points and 3 rebounds, Braxton Walters added 6 points and 8 rebounds, and Tate Riggins added 1 point and pulled down 9 rebounds.
The 7th grade Lakers was led by Owen Loy scoring 11 points in the Lakers victory over Adair with a final score of 34-26. Also helping the Lakers was Clay Pippen with 8 points and 9 rebounds, Blake Bolin had 8 points and 8 rebounds, Lucas McFall had 5 points with 5 rebounds and Collin Burton dropped in 2 points and finished with 6 rebounds.
The 3rd game of the evening was no different as the 8th grade Lakers came away with a big win over Adair Co. by a score of 46-37 on the strength of Clay Ferguson’s 17 points and 11 rebounds. Also scoring for the Lakers was Gavin Gossage with 10 points ad 8 rebounds, Nathan Lawson added 6 points and 6 rebounds, Camden Carpenter added 5 points and 1 rebound, Maxon Gosser added 4 points and 1 rebound, and Isaiah Rexroat had 2 points and 1 rebound to help in the Lakers 3rd victory of the night.
