On Tuesday, the Laker Bowling team traveled to Glasgow to take on the Barren County Trojans. The Lady Lakers finished with 2 wins and 5 losses and the Laker boys finished with 6 wins and 1 loss. High scores for the girls was Kayla Kean 203 and Brooklynne Carroll 158. High scores for the boys was Jason Womack with 254 and Zack Kean 228. The next match will be a double header on Saturday as we will host North Hardin at 9:00 am and Elizabethtown Independent at 12:00 pm at Laker Lanes.
The Laker middle school boys hosted the Campbellsville Eagles last evening at Laker
Gym and came out on top in all three games.
The 6th grade boys won by a score of 35-5, led by Laker Owen Loys 10 points. Collin
Burton added 6 points. Dawson Bradshaw and Tate Riggins both had 4.
The 7th grade game was much more interesting as the Lakers trailed 15 to 26 at the
half. Second half defense was the key in allowing the Eagles only 6 more points in
the game and won by a final score of 44-32 They were led by Clay Pippens 14 points
and 11 rebounds. Collin Burton and Lucas McFall both added 8 points and Owen Loy
had 7 in the victory.
The 8th grade boys won by a score of 48-24 over Campbellsville. Clay Ferguson lead
the team with another double double scoring 14 points and pulling down 12 rebounds.
Grant King had 12 points, Gavin Gossage added 9 and Nathan Lawson had 6 points and 6
rebounds in the victory. The Lakers have another round of home games this Thursday
as Green Co comes to Russell Co Middle School. Come out and support your Lakers
