On Saturday, the Laker Bowling team hosted a double header with the Campbellsville Eagles and the Barren County Trojans in the first match the Lady Lakers had two games separated by only 3 pins but fell short as they finished with 0 wins and 7 losses against Campbellsville. High scores for the girls were Brooklynne Carroll 119 and Korrin Therrien 115. High scores for the boys Kendall Bunch 235 and Zack Kean 22.
In the second match the Laker boys finished with 7 wins and no losses. The Lady Lakers finished with 0 wins and 7 losses against Barren County high scores for the girls was Kayla Kean 168 and Korrin Therrien 138. High scores for the boys Jason Womack 279 and Andy O’Dell 253. The Laker bowling teams next match is Saturday morning as they host Nelson County and Thomas Nelson at 11:00 a.m. at Laker Lanes.
The Middle School boys basketball team was in action against Casey County. The 6th grade won 29-26. Collin Burton had 9 points and 5 rebounds. Clay Pippen 8 points and 8 rebounds.
The 7th grade won 48-42 Clay Ferguson had 22 points and 9 rebounds and Galvin Gossage had 8 points and 4 rebounds.
The 8th grade won their match up as well against Casey County 52-23. Clay Anderson had 18 points and 4 rebounds, Scott Hamm 10 points and 4 rebounds.
